Technogym, Official Supplier for the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, is launching a social campaign, together with athletes, to inspire us all to move more for a better, healthier world.
The Olympics are the global event that has celebrated sport, movement and the culture of physical and mental wellbeing since Greek antiquity. In recent years, more and more the Games are not just a major competitive event but aim to leave a concrete legacy in terms of infrastructure and the promotion of sports culture. Technogym, which has been alongside the Olympic movement for over 20 years, fully recognises itself in this mission and on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympics, is launching the social campaign Let's Move for Paris, to involve athletes and citizens in moving for a better and healthier world.
In Paris, Technogym will set up 29 athletic training centres for more than 15.000 Olympic and Paralympic athletes, but the commitment to the legacy goes far beyond providing equipment and technology for athletic training. Indeed, over the years, Technogym's commitment to the Olympic movement has created a powerful communication platform to inspire people to the values of sport and regular exercise, starting with Technogym's social mission 'Let's Move for a Better World'.
From this long-term vision, the "Let's Move for Paris" social campaign was born. Athletes training in the Technogym Centers in the Olympic Village and in the various competition venues will collect their Moves - the unit of measurement of movement - which will add up into a large digital counter every day. People around the world will be able to join the initiative and help increase the number of Moves collected through the Technogym App, promoting wellness culture in their community and moving more and more often. In addition to this important cultural legacy Technogym will also leave a physical legacy through the donation of a complete Technogym Outdoor solution to a park in the city of Paris that will be identified together with the city administration.
Starting today by downloading Technogym App you too can participate and contribute to Let's Move for Paris along with the team of champions who are training with Technogym ahead of the Olympics and Paralympics including Italian fencing champion Bebe Vio, U.S. tennis player Tommy Paul, U.S. sprinter Twanisha Tee Terry, British road cyclist and pistard Ethan Hayter, Italian surfer Leonardo Fioravanti, French judoka Madeleine Malonga, Amandine Bouchard and Shirine Boukli, German track and field champion Felix Streng, and many others.
"Technogym was born 40 years ago from a dream, the dream of getting the world moving again. Innovation is in our DNA and new technologies allow us, every day, to develop more and more innovative products and services, but our mission to create a better world through exercise will never change. In Paris 2024, alongside our commitment to training champions, we are proud of the social contribution of the Let's Move for Paris campaign in promoting the culture of wellness," said Nerio Alessandri, Founder and CEO of Technogym.
