Last week, on 27th and 28th  April, #BEACTIVE DAY 2023 project partners met in Budapest for a 2-day campaign workshop. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the objectives, timeline, key deliverables and events for the upcoming months. Discussions also included, among others, the campaign’s build up and further promotion.

peer-learning session was held during the first day, to enable participants to share their experiences and ideas on how to build and deliver successful campaigns. Portugal Activo and TAKT, two of the consortium’s most experienced partners, led the session. They drew on their previous experience to share their insights and practical tips from their respective countries, namely Portugal and North Macedonia, with the consortium.

Later in the afternoon, Fit&Sund and Les Mills representatives shared their expertise on this year’s campaign focus topic: the intergenerational approach to physical activity. As a result of the training session, an Inclusion Guide will be drafted on this matter, advising stakeholders on how to engage both age groups, and on how to increase attractiveness for an intergenerational audience during this year’s #BEACTIVE DAY campaign.

The second day, Ms  Lilla Szekeres, advisor to the Secretary of State for an Active Hungary, delivered a presentation on the state of play of the Hungarian approach to physical activity and healthy lifestyles promotion. Her address was followed by a best practice sharing from Romania and the Czech Republic, delivered by Romania Active and the Czech Chamber of Fitness.

The next step within #BEACTIVE DAY 2023 will be the campaign launch events, to be organised in each partner country in the two coming months. Among others, the core purpose is to introduce this year’s #BEACTIVE DAY campaign to all relevant national stakeholders.
