2nd FAIR Annual Forum

In the framework of the FAIR project on anti-doping in recreational sport, representatives and experts from the academical level, private and public sectors will be invited to attend the Forum discussions which this year will be focused on “Effective interventions to fight doping”.
The Forum will provide an EU-wide platform for discussion, debate and cooperation to key stakeholders and will contribute to the dissemination of good practice, study outcomes and anti-doping policy and actions in the EU.
The Forum will be also the occasion for the FAIR Project partners to provide an annual summary of the findings and outcomes of the two project technical expert groups which are focusing on;
1. Doping prevention interventions - 2. Food and supplements for sport people
This year, the interventions will concern the:
- Findings of the EU NADOs Survey launched in July 2018 which aims to update the 2014 Study on Doping Prevention Factsheet. The Research Team from Swansea University will also present the Report on Doping Prevention Intervention in Recreational Spor.
- Preliminary findings and outcomes on actions to improve testing and labelling for food and supplements intended for sportspeople.
- Developments within the CEN/TC Working Group 453 for achieving European Standards for nutritional supplements free of doping substances.
