World Class acquires Titan Fitness and continues to grow its network bringing the #BeHealthy movement closer to Romanians
Bucharest, Romania, 29th May, 2018
Sedentarism and lack of physical activity is increasingly common in eastern and western European countries. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the lack of physical activity is the fourth greatest risk factor in global mortality, and the main cause of more than 21 percent of breast and colon cancers, 27 percent of diabetes cases and around 30 percent of coronary heart disease cases.
With the acquisition of Titan Fitness Club, located in Titan Commercial Galleries World Class Romania takes a new step into growing its network of clubs and at the same time promoting the #BeHealthy concept launched in order to generate an increased awareness and interest from Romanians for an active and healthy lifestyle through sports, health and fitness. The new club will undergo a rebranding process and will be named World Class Titan Park. As with all World Class clubs opened in the past, the expansion of the largest fitness network in Romania targets strategic locations designed to transform World Class, through accessibility, into the third important place for active Romanians after home and work.
Reaching Titan Park, a major residential area in Bucharest, in a strategic location very close to the metro station, is an opportunity for the large communities living in the area to take an important step to a healthier, more active lifestyle. With the new addition to the network, World Class members will benefit from more health & fitness services, having access to an entire network and different levels of membership.
“With the acquisition of the Titan Fitness, we are strengthening our network with a very good location, specialized trainers, one of Bucharest’s largest supply of fitness equipment and accessories, along with a vibrant health and fitness atmosphere. Together with World Class strong brand, our dedicated team of health & fitness specialists and our network of clubs we will motivate even more Romanians to join our #BeHealthy movement and adopt a healthy lifestyle by being more active more often. This new acquisition is in line with our strategy to grow our network of clubs and make sports, health and fitness more accessible to a larger number of Romanians", said Kent Orrgren, CEO of World Class Romania.
World Class Titan Park will be located on 6 Liviu Rebreanu Str. in Bucharest, with a generous area of 2.988 sqm and counting 1.200 active members. The new location boasts one of the largest group fitness and gym areas in the network.
After acquiring Titan Fitness Club, World Class Romania counts a total of 31 active clubs, 20 swimming pools, 450 personal trainers and more than 300 of fitness instructors. The growth of the World Class network will continue in order to provide even more Romanians with the opportunity to choose a healthy lifestyle by making fitness their daily routine. Therefore, during this year three new clubs will be opened in other strategic locations in Romania.
World Class Titan Park will be included in the Bronze membership category. The former Titan Fitness members will benefit from special opening offers and will receive the benefits of the Gold membership level by August 31 in order to test all the other clubs included in this category and get to know the World Class community better.
