This year, Peter Davies, Chief Verifier at EuropeActive/EREPS will be available at breakfast meetings to discuss the EuropeActive verification and accreditation processes.
A short note from Peter Davies:
1. Quality assurance is “…the maintenance of a desired level of quality in a service or product, especially by means of attention to every stage of the process of delivery or production.” (Oxford Dictionary)
2. As EuropeActive’s Chief Verifier, my role and the role of my team of independent External Verifier’s, is to ensure that any EuropeActive accredited training providers have the quality assurance processes and staff in place to uphold the highest standards of course delivery, assessment and internal verification.
From the many dealings that I have had with training providers from a variety of countries, it is clear that there can be some confusion as to what quality assurance actually involves and, how to best implement structures and processes that will maximise its organisational benefit.
EuropeActive and I personally, am anxious to support training providers in setting up workable and robust quality assurance mechanisms which will future proof the quality and reputation of their course offerings. With this in mind, I would be delighted to meet with training providers at the ISM and to explore how their existing or planned systems can be optimised.
